Erin Anton, of The Flying Squirrel is our February speaker!

Erin began knitting and crocheting at around age 7 and promptly set to work designing and making one-of-a-kind clothing and accessories for her Barbie dolls, eventually graduating to people-sized outfits. She began teaching in 2008 and loves nothing more than seeing someone excited at discovering a new skill. Erin is currently working on her Master Hand Knitter designation through The Knitting Guild Association (TKGA) and her most recent endeavour is opening a yarn shop, the Flying Squirrel, in the heart of uptown Waterloo where her goal is to foster community within the fibre arts. Erin’s favourite knitting companion is the family’s uber-cute Pomeranian, Roxanne, who does an excellent job at keeping her feet warm but cannot be trusted alone with yarn.
