Benefits of Membership

Monthly meetings

Monthly K-W Knitters’ Guild meetings run from September through May on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. These meeting include Guild announcements, a curated speaker, member show & tell, an opportunity to increase/decrease your stash via the virtual yarn table and finally we spin the wheel for the door prize. Usually some lovely, squishy yarn – but not always!

KWKG Extras & Workshops

Each guild year we try holding different extra events. For the 2025-2026 guild year, we will hold in-person Stitch & Chats on the 3rd Tuesday of each month, and online Stitch & Chats on the 4th Tuesday of each month. We hope to also run some KALs (knit alongs), CALs (crochet alongs), and virtual workshops on specific techniques or patterns. If you are interested in running an Extra/Workshop or have ideas for an Extra/Workshop please contact president@kwkg.ca.

Lending Library

Our collection of about 600 books and serials is available for members to borrow. Requests are emailed to the Guild’s librarian. Books are then available to be picked up and later, returned, at the monthly Stitch & Chat, held locally in Waterloo, ON.

Volunteer Opportunities

The Guild is a volunteer-run, non-profit organization that relies on volunteers to keep it going. Members are invited to participate in a variety of roles – whether large or small. Participation and contribution are the backbones of our strong community. If you are interested in volunteering please contact president@kwkg.ca
